Position Overview:

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace by implementing and monitoring safety practices, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement of the company's HSE standards. The role requires hands-on experience in the

automobile manufacturing field

, with strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident prevention, and UAE safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement, monitor, and maintain company HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs. Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments, especially within production and manufacturing areas. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with UAE labour laws, health and safety regulations, and industry-specific standards. Conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and new joiners. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with root cause analysis. Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness of firefighting and safety equipment. Maintain accurate documentation including safety logs, inspection reports, and training records. Liaise with department heads to promote a proactive safety culture across the company. Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace risks and improve safety performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.

proven experience as a Safety Officer in the automobile manufacturing industry (mandatory).

Valid HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHAD (added advantage). Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and hazard control measures. Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and industry best practices. Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and support multiple departments.
