We are looking for a proactive
Safety Officer
with
1-2 years of hands-on site experience
in the construction industry. The candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct regular site inspections, and promote a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily/weekly safety inspections on construction sites.
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety policies, standards, and regulations.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports.
Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for workers and supervisors.
Maintain safety documentation, permits, and records.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safe work practices.
Ensure use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper signage on site.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
1-2 years of site experience as a Safety Officer in a construction company.
Knowledge of local construction safety laws, standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with risk assessments and incident investigations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on-site in diverse weather conditions and environments.
Certifications like NEBOSH or OSHA (Required).
