Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Parsons HSE policy, approved HSE plans, and applicable safety legislation on site
• Monitor HSE performance and safety targets, recommending improvements where required
• Liaise with safety engineers, safety managers, and contractors to strengthen corporate HSE management practices
• Monitor contractors to ensure proper implementation of safety measures and approved best practices
• Review hazard analysis and risk assessment plans for key activities and assess effectiveness of hazard control measures
• Review job safety plans and work method statements and carry out regular HSE site inspections
• Report safety observations and non-conformances to the resident engineer for immediate corrective action
• Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE inspections and safety performance reports
• Conduct monthly safety meetings, define corrective action targets, and circulate meeting minutes for follow-up
• Review emergency preparedness and response procedures, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, and HSE statistics
• Review incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and monitor follow-up actions to prevent recurrence
• Perform additional safety-related duties as required by the project

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, loss prevention, or a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably on infrastructure or construction projects
• Recognized health and safety certifications or training in the UAE such as ISO standards, NEBOSH, First Aid, or Fire Safety
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple site teams
• Experience with engineering consultancy projects and UAE site operations is an advantage
• Ability to attend in-person interviews in the UAE
