Job Description
A safety inspector ensures workplaces adhere to health and safety regulations by conducting inspections, identifying hazards, investigating accidents, and recommending corrective actions to prevent injuries and maintain a safe environment. Their duties also include developing safety policies, providing employee training, and keeping detailed safety records and documentation to ensure compliance with laws and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Inspections:
Routinely inspect work areas, equipment, and processes to check for compliance with safety regulations, laws, and company policies.Hazard Identification:
Recognize potential safety hazards and implement measures to mitigate them and prevent accidents.Accident Investigation:
Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine their root causes and propose preventive measures.Policy Development:
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to improve workplace safety and health.Training:
Educate employees on safety practices, equipment usage, and the handling of hazardous materials.Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of safety inspections, findings, and corrective actions Essential Skills & QualificationsRegulatory Knowledge:
