Safety Engineer (UAE Experience)
Job Title: Safety Engineer / HSE Officer
Reports To: HSE Manager / Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Safety Engineer is responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe work environment on the construction site. You will implement the company's HSE management system, conduct safety training, and ensure compliance with all UAE regulatory requirements and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce the project HSE Plan and all company safety policies.
• Conduct daily site walks, inspections, and audits to identify and rectify potential hazards.
• Organize and deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and specialized training sessions.
• Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all local UAE HSE regulations (e.g., Dubai Civil Defence, DM, Trakhees).
• Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the safe operation of plant and equipment.
• Maintain all HSE records, including permits, training certificates, inspection reports, and incident logs.
• Promote proactive safety initiatives and a positive safety culture among all workers.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.).
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (or equivalent) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of HSE experience in the construction industry within the UAE.
• Thorough knowledge of UAE HSE laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and training skills. Additional certifications (e.g., IOSH, OSHA) are advantageous.
