Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor corporate HSE policy, HSE plans, local legislation, and regional safety requirements
• Ensure full compliance with client safety standards and contractual HSE obligations
• Liaise with safety managers and contractors to improve and implement HSE management systems
• Monitor contractors to ensure legal, client, and corporate safety measures are fully implemented on site
• Review contractor safety plans, emergency plans, method statements, and risk assessments for all activities
• Conduct regular HSE site inspections and report findings to the Resident Engineer for immediate corrective action
• Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE reports and inspection records
• Conduct monthly safety meetings, set corrective action targets, and circulate meeting minutes for follow-up
• Review permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, HSE statistics, and safety records
• Review incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and monitor corrective and preventive actions
• Support continuous improvement of site safety performance and compliance

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a construction-related engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience as a Safety Engineer on highways, bridges, or underpass projects
• Strong knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality construction safety codes, RTA circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual
• Ability to attend physical interviews in the UAE
