Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Implement corporate HSE policy, approved HSE plans, and applicable HSE legislation across assigned projects
• Monitor HSE performance, safety targets, and site compliance, recommending corrective and preventive improvements
• Ensure all client safety requirements are fully implemented and maintained on site
• Coordinate with safety managers and contractors to strengthen HSE management systems and ethical practices
• Monitor contractors to ensure safety measures meet legal, client, and contractual requirements
• Review site safety plans, emergency response plans, method statements, and risk assessments for all construction activities
• Conduct regular HSE inspections and report findings to the resident engineer for immediate corrective action
• Review and evaluate contractors' monthly HSE inspection reports and performance records
• Lead monthly safety meetings, set corrective action targets, and circulate meeting minutes for follow-up
• Review permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, emergency preparedness procedures, and HSE statistics
• Review incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and track corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a construction-related engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience as a Safety Engineer on highway, bridge, or underpass projects
• Recognized health and safety certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, and Fire Safety
• Strong knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual
• Ability to attend in-person interviews within the UAE
