Position Overview
Safety Engineer roles in Dubai infrastructure and transportation projects play a critical role in protecting people, assets, and project continuity. Key Responsibilities

• Implement corporate HSE policies, approved HSE plans, and applicable HSE legislation across assigned projects
• Monitor site HSE performance and safety targets and recommend continuous improvement measures
• Ensure full compliance with client safety requirements at all project stages
• Liaise with safety managers and contractors to support effective implementation of corporate HSE management practices
• Monitor contractors to ensure site activities comply with legal, client, and corporate safety requirements
• Review site safety plans, emergency response plans, method statements, and risk assessments for all construction activities
• Conduct regular HSE inspections and report findings to the Resident Engineer for immediate corrective action
• Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE inspection reports and performance records
• Lead and conduct monthly safety meetings, define corrective action targets, and prepare meeting minutes for follow-up
• Review emergency preparedness procedures, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, and contractor HSE statistics and records
• Review incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and track corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a construction-related engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Safety Engineer on highway, bridge, or underpass projects within the UAE
• Recognized safety certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, and Fire Safety
• Strong working knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with site teams and contractors
• ISO audit qualifications or training such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 are an advantage
• Ability to attend physical interviews in the UAE
