Position Overview
Safety Engineer roles in Dubai construction and infrastructure projects require strong compliance, site safety leadership, and deep knowledge of UAE regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Implement corporate HSE policy, HSE plans, and applicable legislation while monitoring site safety performance and targets
• Ensure full compliance with client safety requirements across all project activities
• Coordinate with safety managers and contractors to strengthen HSE management practices
• Monitor contractors to confirm implementation of approved safety measures in line with legal and client standards
• Review site safety plans, emergency response plans, method statements, and risk assessments for all construction activities
• Conduct regular HSE inspections and report findings to the resident engineer for immediate corrective action
• Review and evaluate contractors' monthly HSE inspection reports and performance data
• Lead monthly safety meetings, define corrective targets, and circulate meeting minutes for follow-up
• Monitor permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, HSE records, and site safety statistics
• Review incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and track corrective and preventive actions

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a construction-related engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Safety Engineer on highway, bridge, or underpass projects in the UAE
• Recognized health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, and Fire Safety
• Strong working knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual
• Ability to attend in-person interviews in the UAE
