Key Responsibilities
Implement corporate HSE policy, HSE plans, and applicable HSE legislation across project sites
Monitor HSE performance and safety targets and recommend continuous improvement measures
Ensure full compliance with client safety requirements and contractual obligations
Coordinate with safety managers and contractors to strengthen HSE implementation and ethics
Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and client safety requirements
Review site safety plans, emergency plans, method statements, and risk assessments
Carry out regular HSE inspections and report non-compliances for immediate corrective action
Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE inspection reports and safety statistics
Conduct monthly safety meetings, track outstanding issues, and circulate meeting minutes
Review permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, emergency preparedness, and HSE records
Investigate incidents and accidents, communicate lessons learned, and monitor corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Ideal Profile
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a construction-related engineering discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Safety Engineer on highway, bridge, or underpass projects in the UAE
Strong understanding of infrastructure construction safety requirements in Dubai
Skills Set
Recognized health and safety certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, or Fire Safety
Working knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual
Ability to review risk assessments, method statements, and emergency plans independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Availability to attend in-person interviews in the UAE
