Job Description

JOB PROFILE We are looking for an experienced and responsible Safety coordinator to join our team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines. Your main goal will be to always ensure a safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and implement OHS policies and programs
  • Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
  • Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis
  • Review existing policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all the rules and regulations
  • Work with HR to set up a new employee onboarding process for safety
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
  • Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
  • Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
  • Organize and conduct OSH training plans.
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
  • Check if all the employees are acting in adherence to rules and regulations
  • Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes
  • Oversee workplace repair, installations, and any other work that could harm employees' safety.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in electromechanical, Chemical with or similar field
  • Certificate in occupational health and safety, safety management, OSHA
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of legislation and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
  • 3 years of experience in producing reports
  • Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English.
  • Working knowledge of safety management information system
  • Outstanding organizational skills and Team player
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, Excel and Project.: 4 years (Preferred)
  • QHSE Inspection and Auditing: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Oil & Gas: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Lead Auditor or ISO audits Externals: 4 years (Preferred)
Language:
  • Fluent in Arabic (Preferred)
License/Certification:
  • OSHA) or (CSP) certification. NEBOSH (Preferred)
  • Valid UAE Driving License ? (Preferred)
