This exclusive opportunity is suited to a highly qualified and culturally attuned

Psychologist

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis:

Diagnoses General psychiatric conditions

Clinical Care and treatment planning:

Provide high-quality direct clinical care to patients with various mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

Rehabilitation and Recovery Support

: Design and coordinate comprehensive rehabilitation and recovery plans that focus on the social, emotional, and health needs of the patient.

Neuromodulatory Interventions:

Provides non-invasive and invasive neuromodulatory interventions such as Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), 1-Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), 2-Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), and 3-Trigeminal Nerve Stimulation (TNS).

Psychotherapy

: Provides therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other appropriate modalities based on patient needs.

Consultation and Collaboration:

Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care. Consult and liaise with other medical professionals, community organizations, and support services to facilitate patient care and recovery.

Education and Advocacy:

Effectively communicate and educate patients, families, and the community about psychiatric and substance use disorders. Advocate for the rights and needs of patients within the healthcare system and broader community.

Supervision:

Provides clinical supervision to medical residents, psychiatric residents, and other mental health professionals, ensuring adherence to clinical and ethical standard.

Research and Development:

Keep up to date with the latest developments in psychiatry and substance use disorder treatment.

Candidate Profile:

A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatry from a recognised institution. Substantial post-qualification experience in the treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Eligibility for licensure with the DHA is strongly preferred, though support can be provided for the licensing process. A commitment to the highest standards of ethical practice, discretion, and professional integrity.
