The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas in line with the hotel's standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive guest experience by providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to established standards.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and wipe down surfaces.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
Ensure all rooms are checked and ready for guest arrival within the designated timeframe.
Handle guest requests promptly and with a professional and friendly attitude.
Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies and procedures.
Respect guest privacy and adhere to "do not disturb" signs and room status instructions.
Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and hotel departments to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset but not required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull items as needed.
Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Good communication and customer service skills.
