For a transport infrastructure project in the Middle East, we are seeking a
Rolling Stock Quality Engineer
to support the project during the manufacturing phase in
La Rochelle, France.
The successful candidate will oversee production activities at the supplier's site, ensuring that all trainsets and their components meet the required technical specifications, international standards, and project quality requirements.
Mission and Contract of 1 to 1.5 years.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor tram manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with approved Quality Plans and ITPs.
Conduct inspections of carbody, bogies, articulation systems, electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Review and verify manufacturing documentation, test reports, material certificates, and quality records.
Identify and manage non-conformities (NCRs), follow up on corrective actions, and support root-cause analysis.
Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for major subsystems and verify compliance.
Coordinate with suppliers, engineering teams, and project QA management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
10 years of experience in rolling stock, tram, LRV, or railway vehicle manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of tram subsystems (carbody, bogies, traction, braking, HVAC, electrical).
Experience with quality inspections, NCR management, and QA processes.
Familiarity with EN railway standards (e.g., EN 15085, EN 50155).
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication (

Ability to interpret technical drawings and quality documents.
Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving mindset.
