- As a Robotics Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of robotics, with a focus on specific area of focus, e.g., autonomous navigation, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence, machine learning in robotics, etc..
- You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions, contribute to the design and implementation of experimental setups, and publish research findings in top-tier journals and conferences.
- Conduct research in robotics, including theoretical analysis, algorithm development, and experimental validation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex challenges in robotics and automation.
- Develop and implement novel algorithms and methodologies to advance the state-of-the-art in robotics.
- Design and conduct experiments using robotic platforms and simulation environments.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present work at conferences and workshops.
- Mentor graduate students and supervise research projects related to robotics.
- Participate in grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure external funding for research initiatives.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in robotics and related fields, and contribute to the intellectual environment of the research group.
- PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of research excellence in robotics, demonstrated through publications in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Expertise in [specific areas of robotics, e.g., motion planning, perception, manipulation, etc.].
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in robotics research, such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or ROS.
- Strong mathematical background, including proficiency in linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory.
- Experience with robotic hardware and software platforms, such as ROS, Gazebo, URDF, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and present research findings clearly and concisely.
- Prior experience in mentoring graduate students and supervising research projects is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment, with a commitment to advancing the field of robotics through innovation and excellence.
