Rheumatology Specialist or Consultant

to join our growing team.

: Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients with a broad range of musculoskeletal and systemic autoimmune conditions.

Clinical Care & Diagnostics:

Conduct comprehensive history taking, physical examinations, and consultations for patients with suspected or confirmed rheumatic diseases. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies (serology, inflammatory markers) and imaging (X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI). Perform joint and soft tissue aspirations and injections with ultrasound guidance as appropriate.

Treatment & Management:

Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, including pharmacological agents, non-pharmacological interventions, and patient education. Provide long-term, chronic disease management and monitoring for complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Coordinate care with other specialties to ensure multidisciplinary patient management.

Quality & Safety:

Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date medical records in compliance with Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) and clinic standards. Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuous medical education (CME).

Education & Mentorship (Consultant Level):

Mentor and provide clinical guidance to junior medical staff, fellows, and other healthcare professionals. Contribute to patient and family education regarding disease management and self-care.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements (Specialist/Consultant):

Education:

Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

Board Certification/Specialization:

Completion of a recognized Residency

Consultant:

Board Certification

Specialist:

Recognized specialty certification/qualification

Experience:

Consultant:

Minimum of

5 years

of post-board/post-specialization experience in an accredited hospital or medical center.

Specialist:

Minimum of

3 years

of post-specialization experience.

Licensure:

Must hold or be eligible for a

valid professional license

from the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP). Candidates with Prometric and Dataflow completion are highly preferred.

Desirable Attributes:

Fluency in both

English and Arabic

is highly advantageous. Experience working within a multi-cultural healthcare environment. Proficiency in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional purposes.
