Required qualifications
Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.)
Completion of a residency in internal medicine
Board certification or eligibility in rheumatology
Strong analytical and clinical skills, as well as excellent patient relations skills
Treatment planning
: Create and manage long-term treatment plans to manage chronic conditions, alleviate symptoms, and improve quality of life.
Performing procedures
: Administer treatments such as joint injections to reduce inflammation and pain.
Medication management
: Prescribe medications to manage the condition and slow its progression.
Patient education
: Educate patients about their condition and treatment options.
Collaboration
: Work with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Research
