Job Details
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat patients with rheumatic diseases, including autoimmune disorders, arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, and fibromyalgia
Conduct thorough physical examinations and review medical history to determine accurate diagnosis and treatment plan
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and blood tests
Prescribe medications and other treatments, including physical therapy and joint injections
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care physicians and orthopedic surgeons, to provide comprehensive care for patients
Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and self-management techniques
Keep accurate medical records and document all patient interactions
Stay updated on the latest research, treatments, and advancements in rheumatology
Participate in continuing medical education and conferences to maintain licensure and improve skills
Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
Residency and fellowship training in rheumatology
Valid and active medical license
Board certification in rheumatology
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Rheumatologist in a clinical setting
Strong knowledge of rheumatic diseases, treatments, and medications
Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
