One of the leading group of companies working majorly on government projects is looking for RF Design & Planning Engineer in Abu Dhabi Position Overview: The RF Design & Planning Engineer is responsible for the planning and design of RF networks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. This role involves comprehensive RF planning and design tasks, using advanced tools and methodologies to deliver robust and efficient network solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust RF planning processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
- Conduct RF indoor and outdoor planning and design, utilizing industry-standard tools for optimal network performance.
- Perform simulations for link budget, coverage, interference analysis, neighbor lists, PCI planning, and site power/RF shaping.
- Execute cell site selection processes for enhanced coverage and capacity, utilizing tools such as Atoll, Planet, ASSET, and RAN Plan.
- Engage in frequency and PCI planning to optimize network efficiency and performance.
- Conduct drive tests, site surveys, and optimization activities to ensure network reliability and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align RF planning activities with overall network objectives.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electronics and Communication, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF planning and design, particularly with LTE and 5G networks.
- In-depth understanding of RF components, both passive and active, and their impact on network design.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard RF planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, ASSET, and RAN Plan.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative in critical situations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong knowledge of LTE & 5G network architectures and functionalities; familiarity with TETRA network architecture is a plus.
- Effective management reporting and presentation skills to convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
