As the Retail Excellence Trainer, you will uphold Guerlain's storied heritage across the Middle East and India. Reporting to the Regional Retail Operations & Performance Manager in Dubai, you will be entrusted with implementing our Selling Ceremony and elevated complimentary services to our POS teams. You will be the go-to reference for our store teams from retail operations support (POS training, systems, services, spa and more). This will include coaching: Beauty & Client Advisors, Beauty & Client Experts and Promoters across all channels - Boutiques, Department Stores, Chain Stores and Travel Retail.
Job responsibilities
TRAINING
Promote and support Guerlain selling techniques to maximize sales potential in stores.
Ensure the onboarding on all new team members through a complete programme of induction.
In line with MEIA region and specificities, set up and implement the strategy adapted to the need and specificities of the area.
Be the Ambassador and Relay of Guerlain HQ Retail Education team in our doors to elevate the brand towards its core values and vision.
Work closely with Regional category experts: Fragrance, Makeup, Skincare and co-animate as directed by regional team.
Ensure the enrolment of the team to create a Guerlain lovers' community through: Guerlain digital platform field training on Brand DNA, novelties, key products, and services.
As directed by the Retail team, drive free services coaching in key locations and ensure mystery shopping programme is coherent
Ensure constant evaluation of BC and store performance using Retail App to identify key areas of focus and create action plans with SMART goals.
Organization of training convention to introduce novelties per semester for the area.
Take part in key Trade Activations and peak periods to boost sales performance and sell along with sales force and provide an upgraded service and retail experience.
Gather feedback from the participants and concerned supervisors, to assess the effectiveness of the training and its impact on the participants.
BUILD A HIGH PERFORMING TEAM
Develop and lead a pioneering highly motivated team of education experts in each store, each with a category axis specialty.
Direct, hands-on coaching in flagship stores is crucial.
Assessing performance in real-time, setting objectives after each session, and providing continuous support to improve skills and drive excellence.
Support store managers as needed to improve key axis and service focuses
Ongoing Guerlain BC performance assessment: quiz, appraisal, mystery shopping, to work on improving points for each one of them.
Support regional trainings in role of facilitator as required by regional team.
RETAIL SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT
Drive Retail systems trainings across stores: POS, Audit, Skin Diag and other technologies etc.
Support new store managers with Health & Safety and reporting systems
Use RetailApp on weekly basis to analyze BC and store level performance, creating quarterly action plans with SMART goals and follow up. Partner with the Regional team where needed for support.
Profile
Profile
Minimum 5 years retail education experience for international brands; former experience in Perfumes & Cosmetics industry and in the region is a plus.
Fluent in English & Arabic is a must; French is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and digital tools.

It all began with Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain. A perfumer, chemist, inventor and researcher, the House's founder settled up his first boutique in the heart of Paris, at 42, rue de Rivoli. The address quickly became an essential destination for dandies and elegant women. The House's reputation at the courts of Europe peaked when in 1853, for the marriage of Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie, Pierre-Francois-Pascal created his Eau de Cologne Imperiale, which he gave to the young bride as a wedding present.
