Scope of Position

Responsible for all customer reservations and queries received via telephone or emails for Mandarin Oriental, Jumeira, Dubai outlets. Ensure each booking is entered into the system following Mandarin Oriental data and quality standards.
Responsibilities

  • Know perfectly the Sublimotion service protocol
  • Have a good understanding of the outlet's concept and food and beverage offerings and be able to verbally explain those to guests
  • Ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and a demonstrate a professional image for our guests.
  • Communicate clearly and directly with all colleagues and superiors from same and different department in order to avoid misunderstandings and other shortfalls caused by lack of communication. Particularly focus on clear communication of all floor plans and seating related matters as well as other requests from guests to related service colleagues.
  • Ensure that Mandarin Oriental Jumeira's grooming, and appearance standards are implemented and always maintained to reflect an image of professionalism and care.
  • Be able to converse well in English and preferably other languages, in verbal and written format.
  • Understand and communicate all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures to colleagues and customers alike
  • MOHG Code of Conduct requires that all business activities and business decisions comply with the general law, and with all rules, regulations and other requirements.
  • Take all reasonable steps to safeguard stored information, and not divulge or otherwise transfer any personal data concerning the guests, customers or colleagues, or any confidential information concerning the hotel unless with the appropriate authority.
  • Attends weekly and monthly department meetings and prepares account performance accordingly and contributes with market and customer feedback
  • Builds strong relationships with customers, Guests and Team Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively
  • Complete customer and guest booking requests for Sublimotion using Mandarin Oriental Standards for Data Entry, Email Quality & Call Quality
  • Ensures all requests are handled in the time frame set by the company
  • Proactively handle customer queries and escalations through telephone and email
  • Contribute to revenue objectives through maximising booking conversions
  • Ensure group and event booking requests are completed and handed to team in agreed time scales
  • Flexibility to work to demands of the business including rotational shifts
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of Mandarin Oriental Jumeira restaurants customer data base
  • Actively demonstrate and comply with Mandarin Oriental Jumeira IT security and compliance policy
  • Proactively gather and record guest's preference to superiors and act upon them whenever known and maintain the database.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management
