Restaurant Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:

• Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule all front-of-house staff (servers, hosts, bartenders, bussers).
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-energy team culture rooted in Italian values of family and respect.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to educate staff on daily features, wine pairings, and service standards.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and conduct formal performance reviews.

Guest Experience & Service:

• Ensure every guest receives a genuine, memorable, and authentically Italian dining experience.
• Actively engage with guests, solicit feedback, and resolve any issues with grace and efficiency.
• Maintain impeccable standards for service, table settings, and overall dining room presentation.
• Lead by example on the floor, supporting the team during peak periods.

Operations & Financial Performance:

• Manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Oversee inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, including beverages, glassware, and linens.
• Control labor costs and manage schedules to meet business needs while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
• Implement and uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Handle cash management, daily reporting, and point-of-sale system operations.

Food & Beverage Knowledge:

• Possess a deep understanding of our menu, including the origins of ingredients and the stories behind our dishes.
• Have expert knowledge of Italian wines, regional specialties, and classic cocktails to make confident recommendations.
• Continuously educate yourself and the team on our offerings and Italian culinary traditions.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a restaurant management role, preferably in an upscale or authentic Italian establishment.
• Cultural Passion: A genuine passion for and knowledge of Italian food, wine, and culture. Proficiency in Italian is a significant plus.
• Leadership Prowess: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and hold a team accountable.
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L statements, cost controls, inventory management, and budgeting.
• Operational Excellence: Impeccable knowledge of fine dining service standards, steps of service, and health code regulations.
• Guest-First Mindset: An unwavering commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to think quickly on your feet and resolve issues calmly and effectively.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency with restaurant POS systems (e.g., Toast, OpenTable, Resy) and Microsoft Office.
