Job Description

JOB PURPOSE Responsible for handling the complete control of inflow and outflow of guests at the restaurant in the most prompt and gracious manner, consistent with the restaurant service standard JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Provide and welcoming with a warm and courteous greeting of guests upon arrival and escorting to designated/reserved tables, present menus, and introduce them to the attending Servers 2. Estimate wait times and utilizing pagers to communicate with the team members 3. Communicate effectively with the Supervisor and Restaurant Manager any necessary information or requirement from the floor or from guest, to ensure a smooth and healthy work environment 4. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all menu items in order to be able to describe and recommend products to guests 5. Demonstrate exceptional guest relations and attend to guest complaints and/or queries satisfactorily 6. Sustain a friendly and professional interaction with guests along with providing useful information about restaurant services and facilities like familiarization specifically but not limited to menu, designated dining areas, comfort rooms, and existing discounts or promotions 7. Handle guest complaints in a timely and efficient manner, taking corrective action when required 8. Maintain an updated data of guest information including their personal information, record of birthdays, special occasions, preferences of regular guests, and using the same information to create a more personalized service 9. Constantly update the reservation system with an accurate table count and ensure to update and reinstate all available tables as soon as possible 10. Monitor reservations, table allocations, waiting lists, and discounts redemptions. Check reservation book on a regular basis for next meal reservation 11. Display proper and professional phone etiquette and assure that all guest details and requests are clearly registered and communicated 12. Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures and follow health and safety practices at all times 13. Carry out additional tasks as instructed by the Management JOB SPECIFICATION 1. With at least 2 years of working experience in the same role in Hospitality or F&B field 2. Strong communication and organizational skills 3. High level of flexibility and demonstrate ability to handle and work under high volume of pressure 4. Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver superior customer satisfaction 5.
