Restaurant Head Host/Hostess
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports To: Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager
Start Date: November 5-15, 2025
Salary: AED 12,000 (housing and transpo included)
We are looking for a polished and professional Head Host/Hostess to lead the front-of-house guest reception at a high-end Italian dining outlet in Dubai. As the first point of contact, you will set the tone for the guest experience while managing the host team and ensuring smooth seating and reservation operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Guest Reception

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring every visitor feels valued from arrival to departure.
• Supervise the host team to maintain consistent service standards and presentation.
• Handle VIP guests, special occasions, and guest requests with discretion and care.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy, diplomacy, and proactive solutions.

2. Manage Reservations and Seating

• Oversee reservations and walk-in management using 7Rooms or similar software.
• Balance guest flow, reduce wait times, and optimize table turnover without compromising the guest experience.
• Communicate seating updates in real-time to the service team.
• Anticipate potential delays and inform management to enable timely service recovery gestures.

3. Maintain Standards

• Ensure hosts follow grooming and presentation standards at all times.
• Keep the host station clean, organized, and stocked before, during, and after service.
• Train and mentor host team members to deliver exceptional service consistently.

4. Team Communication

• Liaise with managers, kitchen staff, and service teams to ensure seamless guest service.
• Participate in pre-shift briefings to share guest information, preferences, and special occasions.

Requirements

• Mandatory: Currently residing in Dubai.
• Mandatory: Previous experience in an Italian restaurant or Italian-inspired outlet.
• Prior experience as a Head Host/Hostess or senior host in a fine-dining or high-end restaurant.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Proficiency with reservation management software such as 7Rooms preferred.
