Job Summary:
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, processing orders, and providing excellent service at the point of sale. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and a friendly demeanor to ensure a positive dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about the menu, and provide assistance as needed.
• Order Processing: Accurately take and input food/drink orders into the POS system.
• Payment Handling: Process cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments; provide correct change and receipts.
• Upselling: Suggest additional items (specials, desserts, beverages) to enhance the customer's order.
• Order Coordination: Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including sanitizing surfaces and restocking supplies.
• Complaint Resolution: Address customer concerns politely and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Cash Management: Balance the cash register at the start/end of shifts and prepare deposit reports.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, patient, and professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
