Job Summary: Looking for a Restaurant Cashier in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

• Prepare guests bills for payment
• Receive and post all food and beverage cheques into the Point of Sale System as per the restaurant cash handling guidelines
• Correct the restaurant float and any discrepancies in the float amount must be reported to the restaurant manager
• Compute total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales
• Balance and record all sales or billing in relation to all payment types after each shift
• Comply with all departmental policies, service procedures or standards
• Keep up a cash float to ensure sufficient cash change is available at all times
• Report all balance discrepancies in a timely manner
• Keep the restaurant float in the safe provided
• Calculate float at end of shift and complete designated cashier reports
• Organize the cashier workstation with designated supplies and resource materials
• Keep the working area clean at all times
• Respond to customers\' questions and provide them with information on procedures or policies

Job Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Degree, Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience working as a cashier, preferably in a restaurant
• Good mathematical and analytical skills
• Must be well-organized and detail-oriented
• Must be customer service oriented with a lively, energetic and outgoing personality
• Must have excellent personal hygiene and grooming habits
• Should be able to remain rational and calm under pressure
• Good working knowledge of various computer software programs
