Resident Medical Officer, Surgical Services

Role Summary:
Committed to providing patient care in In-Patient & OPD setting to ensure full 24 hours coverage under supervision of the Surgeons. Provide support to the clinical staff and ensure optimal clinical care of patients in line with the set standards. Provide care to adults and pediatrics using an evidence-based approach in keeping with accepted international and professional standards.

Qualification & Experience required:
MBBS or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

MD with Surgical specialization an advantage

5-7 years post qualification experience as Surgical Resident in reputed healthcare setting.

Experience in busy private hospital in UAE is essential.

Current license/ eligibility preferably as Specialist to practice/ Eligibility from Dubai Health Authority

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists in monitoring patients\xe2\x80\x99 vital signs, surgical sights, drains and general condition.

Assists administration of pain medication in consultation with the Surgeons.

Assist the Surgeons to manage clinical risks.

Coordinate and direct a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to determine adequate care plan and ensure high-quality patient care.

Skills required:
Proficiency in an electronic medical record system.

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.

Critical thinking skills.

Works in different shifts (Days & Nights) to ensure full coverage.

48 hours working week
