We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Resident Engineer specializing in infrastructure for private developers, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and local regulations
Collaborate with private developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and resolve technical issues
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance
Review and approve technical submittals, change orders, and payment applications
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and technical correspondence
Analyze project data and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures
Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet established milestones and deadlines
Coordinate with various engineering disciplines to resolve design conflicts and optimize project outcomes
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
Minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on private development projects
Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and safety practices
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
In-depth understanding of local building codes and regulations in Dubai
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to project sites as needed
