Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer - Infrastructure to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure projects division, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and contract documents Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on work force, equipment, safety, and overall project status Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality control standards Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are met Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment Oversee soil and materials testing according to contract specifications and local regulations Evaluate and process progress payments, variation orders, and time extension requests Implement and monitor site safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local and international standards Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing project progress, challenges, and solutions Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement strategies for improving project efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent professional certification Minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects Proven track record in overseeing complex infrastructure projects, including bridges and underpasses Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction methodologies, and quality control processes Familiarity with UAE construction standards, regulations, and local building codes Excellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities Strong technical report writing and communication skills Proficiency in project management software and CAD applications Experience working on infrastructure projects in the Middle East Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
