Job Overview
As a Resident Engineer, you will lead and manage the daily operations of the Engineering Department to ensure Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab\'s infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards. The role demands deep technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a keen eye for energy efficiency and safety compliance in a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering supervisors and technicians across all daily operations
• Implement and monitor the Jumeirah Engineering Management System (JEMS), ensuring full compliance with safety, maintenance, and energy protocols
• Oversee Fire, Life and Safety systems, preventive maintenance plans, and work order tracking
• Manage team performance, resolve staff issues, and ensure compliance with company policies
• Prepare monthly operational reports for the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer
• Act as a liaison for project communication with internal departments and external vendors

Job Requirements

• Minimum 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury resort
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, CMMS Systems, AutoCAD, BMS, and energy-efficient practices
• Strong understanding of regional building codes, health and safety standards, and intelligent lighting/HVAC control systems
• Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a multicultural technical team
