Your mission

As Resident Engineer - Electrical (Cable) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the electrical engineering portfolio of high-voltage underground cable projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will be responsible for technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision, ensuring high-quality delivery while coordinating with the Client (TRANSCO) and other stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

Manage all aspects of engineering and site supervision for cable projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). Oversee construction and ensure strict compliance with approved designs and specifications. Monitor, report, and resolve non-conformance issues. Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and construction inspection activities. Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards throughout execution. Coordinate with the Client, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth interfaces. Manage project closeout, including verification of installed quantities. Provide technical oversight, reporting, and recommendations to project leadership.

Your qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities). Minimum

10 years' experience

in high-voltage cable projects in the UAE.

Who you are

Strong expertise in 400kV / 220kV / 132kV cable design, construction, and supervision. Experienced in site supervision, contractor management, and quality assurance. Familiar with UAE utility authority standards and requirements.

Your soft skills

Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious mindset.

Preference

Prior experience with

TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA

or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
