Job Title:

Resident Engineer (Consultancy Experience)

We are seeking a highly experienced

Resident Engineer

with a strong background in consultancy to oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, contract requirements, and relevant standards. The ideal candidate will act as the primary site representative for the consultant and liaise closely with the client, contractors, and relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the consultant's on-site representative, supervising construction work to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor and report on construction progress, identifying any deviations and recommending corrective actions. Review and approve shop drawings, materials submittals, and method statements. Lead site meetings with contractors, clients, and stakeholders, preparing minutes and follow-up actions. Coordinate with design and technical teams to resolve site issues and RFIs (Requests for Information). Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Maintain comprehensive records, including daily reports, site instructions, and correspondence. Support the project close-out process, including inspections, snag lists, and final handover documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a consultancy role. Proven experience as a Resident Engineer on large-scale infrastructure or building projects. Strong knowledge of local codes, regulations, and international engineering standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management and reporting tools. Valid UAE driving license (if applicable).
