is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the execution of civil works on site according to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines. The role requires strong technical expertise, site management skills, and extensive experience in handling complex civil projects in the GCC region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision
Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities on site, including foundations, structures, roads, drainage, and utilities.
Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with site staff, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of activities.
2. Technical & Engineering Support
Review project drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Identify and resolve technical issues on site promptly.
Provide guidance and instructions to site engineers, foremen, and construction teams.
Oversee material testing, construction techniques, and adherence to engineering standards.
3. Project Coordination
Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained.
Monitor project progress and report deviations, delays, or risks to the Project Manager.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
4. Quality, Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and site safety regulations in accordance with GCC requirements.
Participate in site inspections, audits, and safety meetings.
Implement corrective actions for any non-conformances and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Prepare as-built drawings, technical documentation, and site records.
Keep accurate records of materials, site activities, inspections, and approvals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum
10 years of experience
as a Civil Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and regional standards.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools (MS Project or Primavera preferred).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, teams, and work under pressure.
