Your mission

As Resident Engineer - Civil - Cable in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will be responsible for supervising and managing all civil engineering activities related to underground cable works for high-voltage power transmission projects. You will ensure that design, construction, and installation meet the technical, contractual, and quality requirements of the project while maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Your key responsibilities

Oversee civil works for high-voltage underground cable installations, including trenching, ducting, and cable laying. Monitor the contractor's progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and schedules. Conduct site inspections and quality checks on civil works and materials. Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical and construction issues. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times. Prepare site reports, progress updates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as required. Review and approve method statements, drawings, and material submittals related to civil works.

Your qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers). Minimum 12 years' experience in civil engineering, with at least 8 years in underground cable projects for high-voltage transmission systems. Experience in utility infrastructure projects within the GCC is preferred.

Who you are

Strong leadership and coordination skills for managing site teams and contractors. Proficient in reviewing civil designs, construction methodologies, and quality standards. Knowledge of international and local civil engineering codes and standards.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to challenges. Ability to work under pressure and in multicultural environments.
