Your mission

As Resident Engineer - Civil (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the civil engineering portfolio of high-voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will oversee technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision, ensuring delivery in line with contractual, safety, and quality standards.

Your key responsibilities

Manage and supervise civil works for high-voltage substation projects. Monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications. Plan, organize, and oversee engineering and construction inspection activities. Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and method statements. Identify, report, and resolve non-conformance issues. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and international/local codes. Coordinate with the Client (e.g., TRANSCO) and other stakeholders on project interfaces. Oversee project closeout activities and verification of installed quantities.

Your qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities). Minimum

10 years' experience

in civil engineering, with substantial experience in substation projects in the UAE.

Who you are

Strong technical expertise in civil design and construction of substations. Experienced in contractor supervision, quality assurance, and project delivery. Familiar with UAE authority and utility standards.

Your soft skills

Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Preference

Prior experience with

TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA

or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
