Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a Resident Engineer in Dubai, UAE to lead site supervision activities for major building and infrastructure construction projects. This senior role is responsible for managing site teams, ensuring compliance with construction documents, coordinating with authorities and clients, and delivering projects in line with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site supervision team to ensure all works comply with approved drawings and specifications
• Supervise quality assurance inspectors and sub consultants to maintain construction standards
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations for AECOM staff and contractors
• Coordinate with clients, government authorities, and contractors to facilitate smooth site operations
• Manage daily project documentation, site observations, and reporting procedures
• Issue and track Non Conformance Reports and ensure timely corrective actions
• Review inspector and sub consultant daily reports for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and issue project correspondence to contractors and clients
• Expedite permits and regulatory approvals to prevent delays
• Chair weekly progress meetings to monitor project performance and resolve issues
• Review and approve contractor monthly invoices and validate completed quantities
• Negotiate change orders on behalf of the client and provide professional recommendations
• Prepare comprehensive monthly status reports covering progress, risks, and key updates
• Supervise and mentor the Assistant Resident Engineer
• Coordinate with head office regarding staffing and resource planning

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or related Engineering discipline
• Minimum 15 years post graduate experience with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role
• PMP certification preferred
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution preferred
• Extensive experience in site supervision and construction management
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
