Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced
Resident Engineer with 15+ years of experience
to oversee on-site engineering activities, ensuring that construction and installation works are carried out according to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards. The Resident Engineer will serve as the primary on-site representative of the design/consulting team and act as a liaison between the contractor and the client.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards. Review and approve contractor submissions including drawings, materials, and method statements. Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for the client and senior management. Coordinate between the contractor, client, consultants, and other stakeholders. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks. Identify potential issues and propose solutions to avoid project delays or rework. Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are strictly followed. Attend site meetings and provide technical advice as required. Verify measurements and assist in certifying contractor invoices. Assist with commissioning and project handover procedures.
