Overview
Our client, a global Company focused on providing technology and engineering solutions seeks a Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering Analytics Consultant to support their oil operator client with their ongoing initiatives to manage and support upstream business process models. Applicants invited with 10+ years’ experience in reservoir and production analytics.

The Oil Operator has approximately 18 fields and 100 reservoirs and there are many phases to this project, with each phase having key deliverables. See some listed under responsibilities below.

In this role, you will support reservoir governance, studies and operations, and associated process standardization such as:
  • Integrated Reservoir Management
  • Production Efficiency Improvement
  • Reservoir and Well Compliance
  • Production System & Capacity Optimization
  • Other Sub-Surface Workflows
  • Carry out business analysis, process design and document reservoir and petroleum process models
  • Facilitate processing modelling sessions with business stakeholders through workshops
  • Work and collaborate with key business stakeholders - engineering functions, asset focal points to configure and deploy automated workflows using business process modelling tools in HQ and group upstream companies.
  • Provide process modelling training and usage to the business champions and business users
  • Provide business support to execute workflows, manage and resolve business process and workflo



Responsibilities
You will undertake many tasks and have many responsibilities such as:

  • Enable Analytics for ongoing smart projects and initiatives in various smart Sub-Surface Projects
  • Lead workshops with Upstream and Asset Engineers in establishing the business requirements in a standardized manner
  • Build Reservoir and production analytics for SMEs
  • Manage Datawall Reservoir & Production Analytics Visualizations and its continuous improvement
  • Integrate input from different information sources and carryout Engineering QC of the input parameters of the analytics
  • Standardize Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering KPIs following various Upstream standards and processes, also in defining KPIs with SMEs where standards do not exist to measure performance in a standardized manner across fields, reservoirs, sectors and wells.
  • Integrate the model inputs and create preliminary well models for the Modelling team
  • Provide asset teams with required hands-on training sessions and technical support for the continuous utilization of engineering visualizations
  • Support training and rollout of reservoir and petroleum analytics across group companies
  • Train and develop Operator’s staff on analytics skills to enable them to become proficient in analysing data efficiently
  • Develop standards and best practices for effective configuration of reservoir and petroleum engineering analytics and extracting information from models
  • Provide documentation of the reservoir and petroleum analytics implemented for referenc



Preferences
The successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 10 years in reservoir and production analytics essential - including analytical processing, workflow integration, well models, surface network models and generate performance and analytics visualization.
  • Experience in knowledge on business process related to Wells, Reservoir, Field, Business Plans.
  • Experience in configuring smart Reservoir and Petroleum Analytics by applying industry best practices and standards essential
  • A good understanding of Reservoir Models and data analytics essential
  • Good understanding of Petroleum Experts Engineering software, Spotfire or equivalent highly desired.
  • Able to demonstrate Digital Oil Field knowledge and handling RT data desired
  • Experience in data science and scripting tools desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with oil operator engineers
  • Work independently and suggest innovative ideas to improve reservoir and petroleum engineering enhance analytics.
  • Previous experience working Middle East assets desired.
  • Strong interpersonal skills –ability to relay technical knowledge and concepts in a coherent and friendly manner.
  • Fluency in English essential. Arabic advantageous.
