The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing restaurant bookings and ensuring a smooth reservation process. The role involves handling guest inquiries, updating reservation systems, and coordinating with the restaurant team to maximize table occupancy while maintaining excellent guest service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all incoming reservation requests by phone, email, and online platforms promptly and professionally.
Maintain and update the reservation system accurately.
Confirm, modify, and cancel bookings when required, ensuring clear communication with guests.
Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth seating arrangements and guest flow.
Maintain knowledge of restaurant menus, promotions, and special events to provide accurate information to guests.
Follow up with guests for special requests or dietary requirements.
Manage VIP reservations and ensure personalized service upon arrival.
Assist in maintaining guest database and reports for management review.
Communicate efficiently with the host/hostess team regarding daily reservations and seating plans.
Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, ServMe) and Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
