Khalifa University is currently seeking a highly motivated research engineer to join our team and work on the development of nano-enhanced phase change materials for solar applications. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge research, which involves the utilization of nanotechnology for improving the efficiency of solar energy utilization.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting experimental research and developing nano-enhanced phase change materials for solar applications
• Operating and maintaining clean room facilities in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
• Performing basic experimental analysis, including thermal analysis, and material analysis
• Collaborating with other researchers and team members to achieve project goals
• Documenting research progress and presenting results in meetings, conferences, and peer-reviewed publications

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• Master\'s degree in engineering, materials science, or related fields, with a focus on nanotechnology
• Previous experience in working with nanomaterials, polymers, and phase change materials is desirable
• Experience in clean room facilities is an advantage, with knowledge of cleanroom protocols, gowning procedures, and safety practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of researchers
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Enthusiasm for learning and exploring new ideas in research

Candidate Profile

Essential Criteria

• Msc from a reputable university in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• A willingness to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture
• Excellent English language communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• The proven ability to work on multiple tasks with competing demands and deadlines.
