Job Summary:
This role is responsible for activities involving the evaluation and qualification of raw materials relevant to Coil Coatings, the investigation into quality concerns, and manufacturing support through processing/raw material investigation and on-site scaleup. This role will also assist the internal technical function as needed.
The mandatory will have opportunities to participate in product development and commercialization teams while providing support to external and internal customers including, technical service, management, manufacturing, quality, and procurement.
Reporting directly to the R&D Manager. The associate executive position for Coil Coatings with the R&D team is responsible for the timely and efficient creation, testing, and experimentation of new product development, as well as the maintenance of business.

\xe2\x80\x93 Appropriate selection of raw materials, paint making and testing, data analysis, and application of paint formulation/knowledge to product specifications and performance requirements as defined by the appropriate sales team.
\xe2\x80\x93 Accurate documentation and presentation of lab results and technical information.
\xe2\x80\x93 Frequent and direct interaction with Sales, Manufacturing, Regional & Global Product Managers, and various support groups to ensure the successful commercialization of products.
\xe2\x80\x93 Develop more in-depth technical and business knowledge regarding Coil Coating products.
\xe2\x80\x93 Plan, schedule, executive work, analyze results, and make recommendations based on those results.
\xe2\x80\x93 Identify potential Continuous Improvement opportunities and drive necessary actions for implementation.
\xe2\x80\x93 Manage work in accordance with timeline goals.
\xe2\x80\x93 Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times.
\xe2\x80\x93 Perform product performance and application testing.
\xe2\x80\x93 Understanding of formulation software.
\xe2\x80\x93 Proficient in Microsoft Office.
\xe2\x80\x93 Other duties as assigned.

\xe2\x80\x93 Comply with quality management system (QMS) policy to improve the work process.

\xe2\x80\x93 Minimum 4 years of Research & Development experience in the paint industry.
\xe2\x80\x93 University degree in Chemistry/Paint Technology.
\xe2\x80\x93 To be fit mentally and physically.
\xe2\x80\x93 Work in an office environment using common office equipment such as computers, printers, and fax machines.
\xe2\x80\x93 Environment and scheduling: This role can involve scale-up at manufacturing facilities that may be hot or cold depending on the time of year. Chemicals are used in the paint-making process (proper PPE is outlined and supplied). Travel is involved as needed to attend trials, and seminars/trade shows.
