Job Description

A Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University with Prof Omran Bakoush. The successful candidate will be engaged in a clinical research project investigating clerkship students learning and clinical reasoning. The position is for an enthusiastic young scientist with interest in clinical research who can work with patients with minimal supervision. The successful candidate should have at least a medical degree and postgraduate diploma/degree in medical education. The candidate should have good knowledge and experience in clinical research pertinent to medical professionals. Primary responsibilities include the design and performance of clinical research as well as marking and reviewing in clinical reasoning of clerkship medical students in Internal Medicine Clerkship. Additional duties include preparing and maintaining detailed records, logs and summary reports of all research findings using appropriate software, and performing other job-related duties, as required.



Minimum Qualification



The applicant must be a doctor/medical practitioner and must have Good clinical Practice certificate.



Preferred Qualification



MSc candidates will be preferred and having a HAAD licence as healthcare professional is desirable.



Expected Skills



Previous experience of working in a clinical project and previous publication in a peer reviewed journal is desired.

Salary Range
