Job Description

A full?time Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Architectural Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University, under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Rauf. The role is part of a funded research project focusing on Life Cycle Energy Assessment, with particular emphasis on embodied energy assessment at the urban scale in the UAE. The Research Assistant will support data collection, processing, and analysis; conduct modeling and simulation tasks; prepare technical reports and presentations; maintain organized research documentation; and assist in the development of research outputs, including publications. Additional research?related duties may be assigned as needed. Applicants should have a strong background in energy analysis in the built environment, excellent research and analytical skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of GIS tools is considered an advantage. Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to evolving research requirements are essential. The research position is supported by a grant from UAE University, initially for 1 year and can be continued to maximum 2 years, subject to the satisfactory performance of the research assistant.



Minimum Qualification



Masters in Architectural Engineering or in a related field



Preferred Qualification



PhD in Architectural Engineering or in a related field
