The Research Assistant will support a two-year Strategic Research Grant funded by UAEU. The project involves studying neuroprotective mechanisms in a cellular model using biochemical assays, cell culture, and untargeted metabolomics. The RA will assist with laboratory experiments, data analysis, and preparation of scientific reports and publications.
Minimum Qualification
Master's degree in Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Preferred Qualification
PhD in Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Expected Skills
Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail; specifically: ? Maintain and culture neuronal cells. ? Conduct experimental procedures including: Viability, Oxidative stress assays; and Mitochondrial assays ? Adept in Western blot analysis ? Can Prepare samples for metabolomics analysis. ? Assist with data analysis using software such as GraphPad Prism, MS-DIAL, and MetaboAnalyst. ? Maintain lab records, inventory, and consumables. o Willingness to learn new methods o Ability to manage time and meet project deadlines o Good teamwork and communication skills o Assist in manuscript preparation and conference abstracts. o Ensure compliance with research safety and ethical standards
