Research Assistant
Job Description
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant position to assist with a project on migration and social cohesion in Dubai. The research assistant is responsible for performing specified research tasks and scholarly activity under the direction and the advice of the Principal Investigators of the project. The Research Assistant should perform specified research tasks which include, but are not limited to: 1) Creating maps and other visuals/graphics 2) transcription of interviews; 3) library research; 4) literature review; 5) Network analysis 6) Other tasks deemed necessary by the research team. The candidate should be highly motivated, culturally sensitive, be able to produce high quality and accurate work and be familiar with methods of research used in the social sciences and humanities.

Excellent English language skills Good communication skills Accurate word processing skills Research skills IT skills Coding/programming Ability to work with GIS data considered an advantage.
