Research Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong background in organic and medicinal chemistry to contribute to a research project titled: "Synthesis of New Drugs for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease," funded by the Start-up Research Program-UAEU. Key responsibilities include: o Designing and synthesizing novel molecules o Characterizing compounds using techniques such as NMR, FT-IR, MS, and GC o Documenting and analyzing research findings o Preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications and presenting at scientific conferences The initial appointment will be for a four-month probationary period, renewable for up to one year based on performance. The compensation package includes a monthly allowance of AED 5,000.
Minimum Qualification
The candidate must have completed a master's degree. PhD degree in organic chemistry preferred.
Preferred Qualification
The ideal candidate should have experience in organic chemsitry/medicinal chemistry, especially in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
