Research Assistant in the Medical Education Department at CMHS We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Research Assistant to join our research team within the Department of Medical Education at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAEU. The Research Assistant will play a key role in supporting a research study titled "Automated Scoring of Key Feature Problems Using Large Language Models in Medical Education." This project explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to automate and validate scoring processes in clinical education assessments. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. S. Ayhan Cal??kan and a team of interdisciplinary experts in medical education, AI, and psychometrics. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated early-career professional with a background in nursing, education, or medical sciences, and an interest in educational technology, qualitative/quantitative research, and AI applications in academia. Key Responsibilities Data Preparation and Management o Format, clean, and anonymize student response datasets for compatibility with AI evaluation interfaces. o Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and organization throughout the project lifecycle. o Assist in validating AI outputs by conducting consistency checks and reliability comparisons. Research Documentation and Dissemination o Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to drafting reports, abstracts, and publications. o Provide administrative and logistical support for conference presentations and manuscript submissions.



Minimum Qualification



Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent degree in health-related sciences. o Experience in academic support, peer mentoring, or health sciences education. o Interest or experience in teaching, skills training, or simulation-based education. o Strong command of English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualification



Postgraduate training in Medical Education or Health Professions Education.
