The Role
A research assistant position is available at Physics Department-United Arab Emirates University for a research project funded by the UAEU UPAR Program. In this project, applicant is expected to fabricate Germanium Tellurides (GeTe) nanowires via vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) method. Different characterization techniques will be used to characterize GeTe nanowires such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), electrical characterization, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), raman, etc.

Requirements
Minimum Qualification Applicant must hold minimum of bachelor degree in physics or materials science and engineering. Applicant must speak fluent English. The candidate must pursue their master degree in physics at UAEU while working as research assistant. The candidate must be skilled in physics and/or material/electrical engineering lab works and show strong commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace. Preferred Qualification GPA > 3.5/4
