Job Description
One position is available for a full-time Research Assistant at the Department of Economics and Finance, College of Business and Economics, United Arab Emirates University. The candidate is expected to collaborate and assist in an ongoing funded research project in the area of Corporate Finance and Governance. The projects focus on Sustainable Finance (i.e. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)), and the projects are applied/empirical in nature. The position is for five months. The successful candidate will work under the supervision and guidance of the project PI. The research progress will be monitored through regular meetings with the PI. Qualifications: -1) The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Finance from a reputable university with quality publications in Corporate Finance & Governance or Sustainable Finance (i.e Environmental Social and Governance (ESG). 2) Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, SAS, or Python) and familiarity with relevant databases (e.g., Compustat, BoardEx, Bloomberg). 3) Strong quantitative skills and experience in analyzing large datasets. 4) An ability to work independently and in a team; fluency in English (spoken and written); and excellent organizational skills.
