We gather evidence-based intelligence about the Earth, using data collected through sophisticated space assets. We utilise the most cutting-edge space technology and a diverse range of data providers, to provide clients with the best, innovative and transparent intelligence solutions for their needs and challenges. This allows us to support organisations to make sustainable decisions for their business and the planet. We have a new Fixed term Contract position to work through until November 2023. This project is government-linked and a requirement of this is that our additional recruits are Emiratis. For this vacancy we can therefore only accept applications from Emirati nationals. If you think you have the necessary skills and experience please apply so that we can explore further. Main duties and responsibilities
- Understanding of satellite imagery and drone data from geo-spatial data sources;
- Processing, using several geo-spatial software packages (such as ArcMap/Pro, QGIS, etc.);
- Creating, managing and analysing geo-spatial data and products from several imagery sources and other remote sensing systems;
- Following existing production processes as guided and creating new data production and feature extraction work-flows, with a focus on automation and quality control;
- Providing technical and quality control support to all departments, carrying out a wide-reaching variety of technical tasks;
- Utilising supporting data, such as climatic or field survey data, to corroborate remote sensing data analyses;
- Organising and maintaining geo-spatial data and associated documentation, adhering to 4EI standards;
- Contributing to report writing, adhering to 4EI standards;
- Contributing to desk-based research and literature reviews;
- Communicating, providing feedback and transferring knowledge within the production team;
- Contributing to team meetings to improve workflows and ensure consistency and quality of outputs;
- Reporting on progress and issues to line managers, using JIRA where necessary;
- Supporting the Project Management Team in delivering a new and innovative data service;
- Supporting other company remote sensing initiatives as and when required.
